SK E&C developed various tools to better understand the characteristics and competencies of applicants. Generally the recruitment process will be in the order of Resume Screening-Written Test-Interview and this might be subject to changes, such as application methods or standards, according to the region or targets.
Recruitment process of SK E&C (Korea)
01 Resume Screening
Based on the ‘self-introduction’ the company comprehensively understands the values, competencies, and global competencies of the applicant. The company especially wants to verify if the applicant can be a caring professional, the concept of the right people for SK E&C.
02 Written Test
SKCT (SK Competency Test) is a comprehensive test to look at the competencies required for work in SK.
The test includes three parts. Critical Thinking assesses combined and high-dimensional thinking power, Situational Judgment assesses judging capability in problem situations, and Work Personality assesses appropriate personalities, values, and attitudes at work.
※ Career employees will only take ‘In-depth examination’ and will not require any preparations in advance.
03 Interview
SK E&C utilizes various interview methods to evaluate values, personality, and competency levels comprehensively.
[New employees]
1st step: ‘Value Interview’ to check consistency with the concept of SK E&C and ‘PT interview’ that includes presentation based on business-case analysis.
2nd step ‘Interview by executives’ to evaluate competencies comprehensively.
[Career employees]
Interview will take place once or twice, including ‘Competency interview’ and ‘Value Interview’ to check the values of the applicant.

There are no limitations such as age, education, GPA, or field of major for applicants.
Anyone is eligible unless incapacitated or unqualified for overseas trips. (Male applicants must have completed military service or been exempt)
However, experienced employees shall have the required experience and qualifications announced separately.
If not qualified, application is possible but the applicant might be at a disadvantage in resume screening.
