Canada, Fort Hills Secondary Extraction PJT
Korea, PDH PJT
SK E&C’s oil & gas plant business has established a diverse product portfolio from crude oil refining facilities including refineries, petrochemicals, LNG Storage and Oil Sands to petrochemical plants that produce chemical products. With its TSP (Total Solution Provider) Business Model that has been built based on the advanced engineering skills accumulated through large projects at home and abroad as well as its project management competence and construction capability, SK E&C’s oil & gas plant business delivers an optimized service.
Recently, since we have focused on expanding to new markets, including North America, and diversifying our product portfolio, we have carried out the Fort Hills Secondary Extraction Project in Canada, the world’s largest Oil Sands plant. In addition to that, as the first LNG EPC performer in Korea, we won the contract of the Magnolia LNG Project in the United States based on the experience we accrued the Gladstone LNG Project in Australia.
Furthermore, we have completed the world’s first plant and commercial production of Nexlene Project that SK Innovation holds an exclusive license for. At the same time, we have entered into the PDH (Propane Dehydrogenation) project, regarded as the new growth engine for SK Gas, and chemical plant areas such as CDP-3 (1, 4-Cyclohexanedimethanol) project of SK Chemicals, by utilizing the synergy of SK Group.
SK E&C’s chemical plant business will maximize its profitability not only in the existing areas of where we are already strong in, but also through developing new markets for many years to come.
